TORONTO, On - Paterson Composites Inc. (PCI), an advanced manufacturer of composite products for the aerospace, defense, marine and medical industries, has recently completed their move to a new and upgraded 29,000 ft2 facility in Toronto, Ontario. As the company continues to build its advanced manufacturing business, the need for expansion was necessary to continue build its high-end products and meet demand.
“We continue to strive to have the best customer service in the industry versus our competitors. We listen, we assist with design of the best possible product, and then we manufacture above expected standards. Our old facility was too small and incapable of supporting the business that we are trying to execute,” explains CEO & President Rob Paterson, “We have now set the groundwork to build out a state-of-the-art composites manufacturing facility that will be one of the largest and most advanced in the GTA.”
The new facility is approximately five times PCI’s previous space and is complete with a 3000 ft2 pressurized clean room, 3700 ft2 assembly room and 1200 ft2 trim room. In addition, it has added inventory control zones, a walk-in freezer, paint booth and 5-ton overhead crane.
“I am excited by the new facility and scale of jobs that we will be able to accommodate, in both actual size of parts and number of parts. This is the springboard to launch PCI into the future of composites manufacturing,” adds Director of Operations John Scarlett.
PCI is planning on continuous reinvestment into its facility to accommodate numerous industries and bringing all parts of the manufacturing in-house. Its new facility will also allow the company to continue with its R&D work in finding new and cutting-edge ways to utilize composites manufacturing.
